How Time Flies

So, I haven’t posted in a while…I really need to change that!  For the time being, I’ll just leave you with this:

Life is full of clichés.  It’s all been said before.

“It’s not you, it’s me”

“It was just her time”

“The more things change, the more they stay the same.”

You can’t turn around without someone else spouting some age-old truism about life, love, the human condition.  Cliché has become cliché.

How about this:  What’s old is new again.  Maybe cliché is like that great joke that you’ve heard over and over until you just can’t laugh anymore, and then you hear it one more time, and suddenly it’s hilarious.

Or maybe it’s like realizing that one day you are most certainly going to die.  There’s no avoiding the truth in the fact, and you hate it that much more for the inevitability of it.

And then you realize.

Death is cliché.

And you hate it that much more.
